The Seniors Matter Initiative, created by Kennedy Senior Services Inc., is a community-driven program offering subsidized non-medical care services to low-income seniors aged 55 and older in Strathmore and surrounding areas within a 30 km radius. This initiative was created to ease the financial burden of care while supporting independence, dignity, and quality of life. Subsidized services are offered on a first come, first serve basis, and income eligibility is based on an annual threshold of $31,080 for single seniors or $50,720 for senior couples.

At the subsidized rate, clients may receive up to 12 hours per week of Home & Palliative Care, 10 hours per month of Transportation, and 6 hours per week of Companionship Care.
